So, I’ve finally caught up on all of my weddings!

 Ali & Blake had a gorgeous wedding on January 6th.  This couple has been one of my absolute favorites to photograph!  These two, their friends, and their families are so laid back & relaxed, it makes my job so easy & fun!  They are so sweet & really had a lot of last minute stress the night before their big day, but they just shook it off & remembered what their day was really about- their marriage.

I met up with the bride to be at the Total Look Salon, then met up with the guys at the Cathedral here in Lake Charles.   The church was just gorgeous with the poinsettas covering the altar & the greenery hanging from the columns.  The reception was at the Civic Center, and the floor to ceiling windows with a view of the lake was perfect to watch the sun set as their reception came to an end.

All in all, I’d say this couple had an awesome wedding with so much family & friends there to share it with.  Congrats, you two!  I hope you enjoy your pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. 

Chase & Alonna

Okay, so I’m just a little biased towards this couple because this good lookin’ guy just happens to be my little brother! 

Meet Chase & Alonna.  Everytime I’ve looked at these pictures, I feel so much energy & love!  These two are so awesome.  We had their session scheduled on what happened to be… another rainy day.  But, these two braved it out & we were able to shoot at one spot for a short time.  But, with these two, it was just so easy & quick, we were done just when the rain began to fall 20 minutes after we started. 

They just celebrated four great years together, and now they are only months away from their wedding day in June.  Check back for Lonni’s upcoming bridals!  (Her dress is AWESOME!) 

Lori & Scott

Okay, so, once again I’ve posted a little more than expected, but oh well, I guess!

Lori & Scott were married on Saturday, the 30th of December.  I had the pleasure of having a great photographer & close friend, Christina (www.ChristinaLouvierre.com), second shoot this wedding, which was pretty cool!  I had never had a second shooter before, but I really enjoyed it. 

 They had such an awesome wedding, despite the rain that came that night.  But, as I’ve heard before, if we were in Africa, that’s a great sign of good luck for this couple!  They were married at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church with their reception to follow at the gorgeous Greywood Plantation.  Lori & Scott had a wonderful helping hand on their big day from Mrs. Terry Kenney, a local & awesome wedding coordinator.  The flowers were done by Chris @ Paradise Florist, who also does a gorgeous job!  I just loved her flowers!  After we had a wintery bridal session back at the beginning of December, Lori was so inspired by our make-shift holly branch bouquet, that she came back to Chris & requested that holly was incoporated into her bridal bouquet, aisle runners, & centerpeices.  It was so simple, but just gorgeous!  Congrats, you two!

Jada & Brent

Ok, so I went just a little crazy with the amount of pics from this pre-wedding session, but we just had so much fun & there were so many fun shots, I just couldn’t narrow it down anymore!  Jada & Brent are exchanging vows in June at the ultra-cool Catholic church, OLQH!  I’ve been waiting to shoot a wedding at this church (which I grew up attending), and Jada & Brent’s big day will give me that chance!

Plus, I feel really terrible for them because I’m just now blogging their session when we took them right before Christmas!  How bad am I?  Well, I’m vowing to catch back up & start getting some more of these great sessions up on the blog a whole heck of a lot sooner!

Okay, so I’m just a little behind on the whole “Happy New Year” blog!  And some may have just thought, “Well, then, what’s the point in even posting eight days later?”  But I just had so much fun playing with my camera & the fireworks, I just felt like blogging anyway!

Seeing that we no longer live out of the city limits, we decided to invite ourselves over to Adam’s twin sister’s house where you can legally blow things up without getting in trouble.  We also had decided beforehand that a “Guitar Hero tournament” would also occur on this night.  So, the battle of the bands landed in Tina & Jonathan’s living room with some hard rock music & two plastic guitars.  To say the least, us (the girls) lost pretty bad!  The guys had gone shopping for their ‘06 New Year’s Eve display, coming back spending way too much, but it did make for some gorgeous displays.  They saved their best for last, with the radio counting down til midnight, lining up several fireworks to fire at once, when Jonathan went inside to spend the New Year’s minute with Tina.  This left Adam with all the pressure to put on the grand finale by himself, and he pulled it off while I just sat & watched.  It was a chilly, but great New Year’s!
