My favorite shot from the session… I just LOVE it!
Meet Keisha & Richard, one of my new most favorite couples!
These two have SUCH a contagious smile, I just couldn’t help but laugh and smile with them the whole time! This cute couple drove in from Baton Rouge for their session. Richard works for the Railroad out of Baton Rouge, which I think is too cool! He said he rides the train back and forth from Houston to New Orleans. I’ve never ridden a train, but I’d love to one day. (Hint hint, Adam!)
Congrats, you two! I cannot wait for your big day in August. Also, stay tuned for Keisha’s upcoming bridals in June!
I received this email from my sister-in-law, Tina, and just wanted to share it. I normally don’t open everything piece of mail from everyone regarding on going poems, jokes, etc, but Tina doesn’t send many and usually, they’re pretty good. 🙂
The Little Things
As you might know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was
His turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn’t go off in time.
One was late because he was stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.
One of them
Missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.
One’s car wouldn’t start.
One went back to
Answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled
And didn’t get ready as soon as he should have.
Get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work
But before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am
Stuck in traffic,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone…
All the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself,
This is exactly where
God wants me to be at this very moment…
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong,
The children are slow getting dressed,
You can’t seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light,
Don’t get mad or frustrated;
God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless you
With all those annoying little things
And may you remember their possible purpose.
To wrap up our afternoon, we brought some interesting items to incorporate into her bridal session… swords! 🙂 My brother’s a bit of a geek and loves playing W.O.W. (an online game that he’s grown up playing) and we thought we’d borrow a few things to play around with for his groom’s table prints of Lonni. I love these!
Meet Alonna again, my future sister-in-law! We took Alonna’s bridals a few weeks back and I’ve been dying to post some, but have yet to find the time. Isn’t she stunning?! We had an awesome session… Alonna made her favortes folder from her proofs and I went to check it and saw about 150! So, it did take us a bit to decide on our wall portraits for the wedding day, only because this girl cannot take a bad picture! Congrats, Lonni! 🙂
Towards the end of our session, we let the kids play a little in the park. I love this shot of Sydnei with the big playground.
Racheal will probably kill me for posting her on the blog 🙂 , but I just couldn’t resist not sharing this precious picture of them playing on the slide.
Sydnei just couldn’t get enough of the slides!
And neither could Noah!
Although he obviously got a little surprised at what gravity and a big blue slide can do, he used his little sandal as a constant brake to slow him down a little!
My final and favorite image… Sydnei asked her mom, “Just one more time?”
Okay, so I’ve just blogged a whopping twenty images from this short and sweet session I had with Sydnei and Noah. I just couldn’t resist! My parents had met Sydnei before, and my mom told me when I would meet this girl, I would fall in love. And boy did I! I just couldn’t get enough of her! And Noah, being the boy that he is, also endured the extreme humidity that we had that afternoon for a good time on the water and great fun at the park! Racheal, I hope these images were everything you were hoping for! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph these two!
and lastly… the Teeters (pictured here in her Misha’s dress last May!)
One of my mom’s cats… the Twoops. (Lethal lizard and squirrel hunter.)
And lastly… some of my dad’s flowers…
This one below is my new background on my computer.
And this one’s next!
So, I went to my mom’s house one day with my camera in hand and no one was home, but her two dogs were outside playing. (They have the invisible dog fence, Pet Stop.) I let the Teeters play with Spank & Jo Jo and found myself taking one or two pictures of each of them. I think Troops then got a little jealous and decided to come hang out with us. I snapped a few of him as well and caught one of him yawning. Well, as crazy as it sounds, my parents also have 2 other cats. (What can I say? We’re animal people!) So, Black Kitty came around the corner and hopped on the patio table and I ended up catching one of her yawning as well.
By now, I’ve realized that these kitties, being the laid back animals that they are, yawn quite often… So, I decided it was only fair to catch up to the third of the 3, Baby Nina. (I know, I know… I’m responsible for almost all pet names around here…. EXCEPT for the Teeters’… that was all Adam! :)) So, I caught a third yawn, then sent out the following picture to all of my families’ emails, with the title “Familiar Faces”.
