Keeping me company :)

2911teetersw.jpg

I’ve had several wedding consultations and we’ve FINALLY been able to get some of our sessions done (the rain HAS subsided momentarily 🙂 ) and I’ve been working on album designs a lot lately, including Hydee & Ryan’s, which I’ll be done with shortly!

But in the meantime, Teeters managed to sneak in the studio this afternoon, and I grabbed a picture of her while she’s keeping me company at the computer.  Funny dog.  Who chooses THIS spot to sit?  Why not something more comfy, ya know?  🙂

Us & our boys

65timevw.jpg

A few Sundays ago, we got together with some good friends of mine, Tim & Betty Evans from Orange, Texas, and FINALLY got some great pictures of Adam & I with our two great danes, Gordie and Duke.  Gordie (short for Gordan #24 lol) is the black & white one of the left & the Dukers is the old, fat, solid black one on the right.  🙂  They are our boys & we love them so much.  I HIGHLY doubt we will EVER own two great danes again, so it was awesome to get pictures with both of them together.  We took tons of great pictures, including some of Adam on his motorcycle, but I haven’t had time to edit them all yet!

Check back for the Evans’ family session we’re having on Sunday, December 30th with their son, Dustin, who is currently serving as a U.S. Marine.  Getting family pictures before he flies back out is going to be very special for them.

Betty & Tim – Thank you SO much for coming all the way over here on your only day off!

Monica’s kids :)

We’re going out of town for about a week & I’m frantically trying to finish up so many things!  So, I’ll keep this one short & sweet!

Monica, a client of mine from about two years ago, who is legally blind, has always been one of my favorite people I’ve met throughout my career.  So it was so awesome to hear from her a few months ago.  The assignment she gave me came as quite a surprise:  To photograph her two German Shepards & their very own dog HOUSE.  (a pause…)  Yes, these spoiled “kids” of hers had their very own house built just them.  Matches their home all the way to the martyr, brick work, lamps, & columns…. a/c & all.  First, yes, I, too was blown away.  But so excited!  I could not WAIT to see this & it was such an amazing sight to see!

It was so cute… I think they were “welcoming” me to their house!  🙂

This is what Frieda kept doing, I think trying to get Lola to come inside with her!

Monica’s home

It’s just a cement slap inside with some custom built (& legally chewable) benches of different heights inside.  So cool!  (Literally, too – how awesome for the hot Louisiana summers?!)

Meet Venture.  If you’ve ever visited the studio, you’ve already met him.  I think he was happy that today was not HIS portrait session!

Custom carved/engraved sign welcomes all guests.  And I didn’t notice the brick Monica was talking about until I was processing this picture.  I like the texture!

Inside cooling off & catching up, I got to see some of our work displayed.  It’s so neat to see the final product(s) displayed!  I had driven Monica & helped in framing all of these peices, and felt where she had them hanging was just perfect!

Venture & his lead harness

His 16×24 canvas hanging in “Venture’s Room” (aka- the guest room) over “his” four-post bed.  (Taken, obviously, on the same bed two years ago.)

And my favorite of the peices… a series we shot in front of their front door.  These two have always had such a strong message within them.  And, to her, a symbol of strength.
