My two mommies at the top are due in March – yay for Zach & Emma!  I can’t wait to meet both of you!  And the last mommy here has had her TWINS and I’m proud to say I met them last week!  They are GORGEOUS and you’ll be getting sneak peaks at some of my favorites soon!

Just wanted to share a few images from my recent maternity sessions – preggo mommies – DO THIS or you will regret it later!  Trust all of us and ask these girls here.  It’s so fun and such an empowering and amazing time of your life to capture.  (Don’t think you’re “gutsy” enough?  Go down a few posts and you’ll see ME a few months ago – the “bravest” preggo subject of all!  lol   😉

a session that’s quite personal…

This is definitely an unusual post!  But I really think it’s cool.  🙂  Just as I feel it SO NECESSARY for everyone elseto document pieces of their lives, I of course, believe that same thing!  Throughout my pregnancy, I had an amazing photographer reserved for my maternity session.  It was scheduled and I couldn’t have been more excited!  Unfortunately, after both hurricanes causing Adam’s work schedule to become INSANE for two months straight, I was forced to cancel.  I was devastated.

So, about two weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon (at eight months pregnant), Adam and I set up the studio and I became the subject.  Was it easy?  No.  🙂  Hard?  Not really!  We had a great time and I couldn’t have been happier!  Seeing this task was a lot harder than most sessions, with Adam not quite knowing what he was doing, I made a lot of trips between the lights and camera throughout our one hour session.  How did we get the last image?  It really wasn’t that hard!  We shot about 20 images with both of us in them via the timer and, once again, a lot of running back and forth between shots.

Why am I sharing MY maternity images?  Because.  Because I share other maternity images that I’ve taken; why not share my own?  My session was more natural and played largely on light & lines.  I’ve never photographed a session quite like my own.  I think it really shows how beautiful (in the right light – lol) an expecting mother can be and I HOPE that this inspires my other expecting mothers to have the same images done.

So…  here I am!  At a whopping EIGHT MONTHS preggo for our first baby – who will be here in ONE WEEK!!!

Yay for Loree! (and little Bailee, too!)

I’m putting up this post from my laptop on the couch with my feet kicked up for the night.  (The dishes from dinner can wait until tomorrow!)

I know my logo isn’t even on this image – I just happened to have it on my laptop while thinking of Mrs. Gabbard and wanted to share.  Poor Loree has been waiting and WAITING for Bailee to come for the past few weeks and finally, she’s coming this Tuesday morning!!!  She’s been sending out updates via texts to us for the past week because we all keep thinking, “It’s finally time!” and so I couldn’t have been more excited to get her latest one today.

About two weeks ago, we got together for  a maternity session, so I thought I’d share one of my favorites tonight as we all await this little girl’s arrival.  🙂

Keesha

My first pregnancy session since I’ve been preggo myself!  I had such a great time with this family.  Keesha, you’re awesome!  And a big THANK YOU to Mrs. Emily Rutherford for the referral.  Thanks, chick.   🙂
